In early September 06 Armor Technologies opened its new ArmorGate product line to public beta trials.

Based upon the same secure platform as ArmorWare, ATCI’s second-generation product - ArmorGate, adds numerous additional levels of productivity and usability features.

Rather than running on your machine (as ArmorWare does), ArmorGate provides you with a “virtual PC” on a locked-down Armor Technologies server, which you can access from any personal computer connected to the internet. You run a small application on your own PC which opens a remote connection window to Your ArmorGate virtual pc.

Only the screen image, sounds, keystrokes and mouse moves are transferred between the server and your PC. All the heavy processing is done by the Armor Technologies server, therefore ArmorGate will run modern applications like a fast new PC even if your machine is old technology.

With ArmorGate, users will be able to work with 100% guaranteed security on nearly any internet-enabled Windows, Mac or Linux machine

You will be asked to provide an e-mail to register for this beta so that we can notify you of updates and and issues which may arise over the course of the beta trials. However we have a strict privacy policy and will not provide or sell your e-mail to any third parties.

Once you download the software you will see that it is presented very simply, with four main sections:

• Large File Transfer Utility - This allows you to share over e-mail very large files with others on the internet without the usual problems associated with sending files bigger than a few megabytes.
• Shredder Utility - The ultimate in file shredding, this tool is essential to destroy unneeded files to a level beyond forensic recovery
• Remote Desktop - Your Virtual Computer! This will be familiar to ArmorWare users, only you can use it in your Windows environment, or MAC or Linux computer
• Tools & Settings - You can customize GATE to your exact preferences. Also this section provides you with an easy and convenient way to provide feedback, suggestions or report any problem you might encounter.

Any comments and requests you make as a beta tester will go straight to the programers and will be added to the list of tasks for the development effort.
