We at Armor Technologies value the relationship we have with our customers and website visitors, and are committed to responsible information handling practices. We take the privacy of our customers very seriously and want you to feel comfortable whenever you visit our website, access our online services, or participate in our online offerings.
Our approach to responsible information handling is founded on the basis of the Fair Information Practices, the cornerstone of which is providing notice of our information practices and other privacy aspects in order to allow individuals to make informed decisions regarding personally identifiable information. When you visit our website, information may be requested of you in order for you to participate more fully in our online offerings and services. When we collect information from you, we let you know what is being collected, how it is collected. We also identify the information that is necessary to fulfill your request. Whenever we request additional or optional information, we mark those as voluntary so that you know it is not required to provide the requested service.
To ensure we are publishing content customers need and want, Armor Technologies collects aggregated site-visitation statistics using cookies. When someone visits the site, a cookie is placed on the customer's machine (if the customer accepts cookies) or is read if the customer has visited the site previously. Web beacons, also known as clear gif technology, or action tags, assist in delivering the cookie. This technology tells us how many visitors clicked on key elements (such as links or graphics) on our web page. It is a tool we use to compile aggregated statistics about web site usage. We do not share tracking information outside of Armor Technologies and we do not allow other companies to place clear gifs on our sites.
You may browse our website without providing personal information to us. However, if you want to receive any of our online products and services, or participate in other online activities (e.g., surveys and contests), we may request that you provide us with information about yourself. When you provide personally identifiable information to us that may be used for secondary purposes (i.e., uses not related to the purpose for which the information was collected), we give you the opportunity to opt-out of such uses.
Armor Technologies will not distribute or sell your personal information to any third parties and does not participate in, or condone any SPAM emailing.
We have a variety of mechanisms for you to modify and update the contact information that you have provided to us and are in the process of developing more mechanisms to update your personal data. When you visit our web sites, we let you know in our privacy statements how you may currently modify the contact information that you have provided.
We recognize industry standards and employ security safeguards to protect personally identifiable information from unauthorized access and misuse. Furthermore, we take measures to ensure that the information used to process your request is accurate and current.
We are pleased to offer our clients the only guarantee of online privacy protection that we are aware of.
In order to offer this extraordinary level of confidence to you, we have structured the ArmorWare service in a very particular way. It is important that you understand how this works and that you use the service properly.
Failure to do so, will render the guarantee void.
ArmorWare controls the client environment very strictly by using a Read Only platform which comes supplied on the ArmorWare CD. When you boot your computer using the Armorkey and the ArmorWare CD, you establish the Armorchannel between your computer and our servers. Browsing sites which are within the ArmorWare environment (i.e. they also use ArmorWare) provides an absolutely secure and private, Internet connection preventing hackers from monitoring your Internet traffic because it is impossible to see.
Should you wish to browse outside of the ArmorWare environment, it is possible for hackers to see traffic which you generate, however it is impossible for them to trace that traffic to your computer, providing a completely private anonymous browsing capability.
Please note, that it is possible to change the permissions on your system to allow execution of files, however you must do so manually. Should you choose to do so, Armor Technologies can no longer provide a 100% Guarantee of your privacy. Using our product under these changed permissions does void the guarantee and we strongly advise against changing these permissions.
Any emails you provide to us will not be sold or distributed to third parties and Armor Technologies does not condone or praticipate in SPAM e-mailing.
The ultimate in email security and privacy is to use Armormail when communicating with other ArmorWare clients. Sending your emails within the closed environment makes it impossible for hackers to intercept your emails let alone see what is in them. Your security & privacy is 100% protected under this scenario.
When you email to recipients outside of the ArmorWare environment, it is still possible for us to guarantee your privacy. You simply need to use Armorencrypt to protect your emails prior to sending them out. You need to share your public encryption key with your desired recipients so that they can decrypt your email or files when they arrive. In this scenario, it is possible for hackers to intercept your email, however it is impossible for them to read them when protected by Armorencrypt.
Using Armorvault allows users to encrypt personal files. ArmorWare makes the use of this system extremely simple and fool proof with our ‘Drag and Drop’ system. These files are stored on your Armorkey. Losing the key could put your files in potential jeopardy, however they would still be protected by Armorencrypt and would require your password to decrypt. Protect your Password!
Use the ArmorWare servers to store your encrypted files as easily as you store them on your Armorkey. Simply ‘Drag and Drop’ your files on the icon provided by your ArmorWare system.
In order to protect your privacy to the ultimate degree, Armor Technologies does not hold your private encryption key. You are the only on who holds it. Therefore, you are completely protected from anyone seeing your files, even from Armor Technologies. Don’t lose your password, as we are unable to restore it for you!
